BIRATNAGAR: State-1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai has expressed his hope that Nepali New Year, 2077 would be celebrated with determination and resolutions to defeat COVID-19 and achieve the national goal of ‘happy Nepali, prosperous Nepal’.
There is no alternative to lockdown to be safe from the infection, he said in a message of greetings today on this occasion. “We should stay on high alert in view of increasing infection in India and our open borders with the neighbouring country.
We should tighten country’s transits with India.” He also urged residents of the state to abide by lockdown and stay in quarantine and isolation facilities to get protected from the infection.
He also sought cooperation and solidarity from Nepali people to help the state government to fight against the virus.
