Baglung reports one more COVID-19 suspected case



BAGLUNG: Already in the list of highly vulnerable district, Baglung has reported one more coronavirus suspected case after a rapid diagnostic test came out to be positive.

According to Tika Sangam BK, the rural municipality member of Kathekhola Rural Municipality, the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) was conducted on a 65-year-old woman of Kathekhola-6 Baglung.

After finding the result positive in the rapid test, she is kept in isolation of her home village. She, along with some more people of village, has returned home from a pilgrimage in India recently.

Gaulochan Saiju, the Chief District Officer of Baglung informed that they are planning to send the swab of the corona-suspected woman for further investigation to Pokhara or Kathmandu.

“In the rapid test conducted in the district since last three days, we have found a coronavirus positive result in one case,” CDO Saiju said, “ we have sent the security forces to place the suspected woman and her family and other people who have come into her contact in quarantine.”
