SURKHET: Police have arrested a person on the charge of practicing medicine without a license.

The alleged has been identified as Dipendra Kafle associated with the Subhalaxmi Hospital.

He has been accused of using other’s medical council registration number to impersonate himself as a medical practitioner.

He was arrested as per the request of Nepal Medical Council, Bansbari on February 17 to investigate his ‘professional’ documents and the direction of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on February 20, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabi Rawal.

The police have obtained a time of three days from the Surkhet District Court to further investigate the matter.
