14 killed in bus-truck collision in Uttar Pradesh



NEW DELHI: Fourteen people died and several others sustained injuries when a private bus in which they were travelling rammed a stationary truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Wednesday night www.hindustantimes.com reported.

The injured have been moved to the PGI at Safai in Etawah for treatment.  According to sources, there were around 50 passengers in the ill-fated bus.

The front portion of the bus was badly damaged in the accident. Reports say the driver had dozed off and subsequently lost control of the steering wheel resulting in the accident.

The accident took place at around 10 pm on Wednesday in Nagla Khangar Police Station area of Firozabad while it was heading to Motihari from New Delhi, PTI reported.
