Actress Mahima Silwal dies in road accident

KATHMAND: Actress Mahima Silwal has died in a road accident on Thursday.

Silwal died on the spot after her scooter, Ba 98 Pa 7058, she was driving was struck by a passenger bus, Lu 2 Kha 1335, while she was heading to her home town Chitwan from Kathmandu.

Mahima’s younger sister, who was riding pillion, also died in the accident.

Her sister Sarmila, who was rushed to Kathmandu, succumbed to her injuries in the course of treatment, said police.

Mahima, originally from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12, Shivanagar had made her debut in the Nepali cine industry, with ‘Karbahi’.

She has performed in ‘April Fool,’ ‘Cheers’, ‘Danab,’ ‘Gigolo’ among others.
