Rajpur bombing mastermind Alam sent to judicial custody



KATHMANDU: Mohammad Mehtab Alam, the mastermind of the Rajpur bombing, has been sent to judicial custody.

According to Rautahat District Police Office Chief SP Siddhi Bikram Shah, the brother of former minister Mohammad Aftab Alam, who is in jail for murder, has been remanded in custody.

According to the district court, Alam has been remanded in custody for trial. He has been sent to jail on Sunday following a court order.

The police team of Province Police Office, Janakpur had arrested him on December 8.

According to State Police Office Spokesperson and Information Officer Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasari, Alam was the mastermind of the bombing.

A team of the State Police Office had arrested him from Boudhimai Municipality Ward No. 7 Badki Bankul Area on Monday.
