9 more succumb to COVID-19 in Nepal, tally hits 1,698

KATHMANDU: As many as nine COVID-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll from the coronavirus to 1,698 as of Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 830 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 2,48,423 in the country as of Sunday afternoon. The laboratories across the country conducted 5,181 RT-PCR tests in the last 24 hours.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 10,994 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 1,500 infected people got recovery from the virus infection.

So far, 2,35,731 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly, 9 persons succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours, hitting the total COVID-19 related deaths 1,698.
