NCP Standing Committee meeting likely to be postponed after mourning Lama’s demise



KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to be held at Baluwatar is scheduled to pass a mourning proposal at the demise of former lawmaker and ambassador Kaman Singh Lama.

According to NCP sources, the SC meeting to be attended by both chairmen of NCP Prime Minister KP Oli and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is least likely to discuss the controversial issues today.

The meeting is likely to be postponed after observing mourning at the demise of Lama.

Lama died of coronavirus pandemic on December 9.
