COVID-19 cases surge inside Singha Durbar, 14 at Industry Ministry infected



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus cases have been surging among civil servants at Singha Dubar, Nepal’s central administrative hub.

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has been hit by the pandemic.

Fear has gripped the employees of the Ministry after the infection was confirmed to 14 employees, including the officer level.

Among the infected, five are officer-level, including the joint secretary and others are assistant-level employees.

Deputy Secretary and Information Officer at the Ministry, Suresh Raj Joshi, said that the work of the Ministry has not been hindered although they are currently under isolation.
