Three murder-accused arrested in Saptari



SAPTARI: Police on Monday arrested three persons on the charge of killing 50-year-old Daimandevi Yadav of Tiruhut Rural Municipality-2 in Saptari district.

The trio arrested by police after 16 days of murder were Ajay Kumar Yadav, 21 and Om Prakash Yadav aka Radhe, 52, of Tirahut Rural Municipality-2 in Saptari. Similarly, another arrested was Bom Bahadur Sah, 55, of Kanchanpur Municipality-11 in the district.

According to DIG of State No 2 Dhiraj Pratap Singh, wife of a teacher, Daimandevi, was murdered on September 26. Police is treating Sah as the prime suspect behind the murder while two others were charged to be accomplice to Sah in strangulating Daimandevi.

DIG Singh shared that all the arrested murder accused have admitted to committing the crime. Further investigation into the case was underway.

It was learnt that defendant Om Prakash Yadav had illicit relation with sister-in-law o Daimandevi. The illicit affair came to the knowledge of Daimandevi and Om Prakash thereafter killed her out of personal vendetta.

Similarly, it has been revealed that there was domestic dispute surrounding land between defendant Ajay Yadav and the deceased.
