Complaint filed at CIAA against NBA, Morang



KATHMANDU: The CIAA has sought a clarification in writing over Rs 2 million allocated by National Sports Council (NSC) to the National Badminton Association, Morang for organizing U-17 Junior International Friendship Cup in 2018/19.

The anti-graft body directed to be present with all the documents and audit reports after complaints were filed alleging that the allocated money was embezzled.

Lababhankta Shrestha has been allegedly involved in the misappropriation of the fund, according to the complaint.

Shrestha was the secretary of Nepal Badminton Association, Morang and deputy general secretary at the center during the period.

Shrestha has already retired from NSC.
