KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that Limpiyadhura,  Lipu Lekh and Kalapani are the parts of Nepal.

Expressing solidarity with the government, NC President Deuba stressed national integrity and national unity when it comes to national issues such as the territory of the country.

Citing the historical context, Deuba said the Kali River had been mentioned in Sugauli Treaty held in 1816 and Kutiyangdi in the Chinese language refers to Mahakali River.

Deuba further said a Central Working Committee meeting of the party also decided to cast votes in favor of the Constitution Amendment proposal.

As an opposition party Nepali Congress will play its constructive role in returning the encroached land, said NC President Deuba.

He further said a meeting of the Parliamentary Party called this morning also expressed solidarity with the national integrity.
