Corona Hospital’s patients being shifted to Bharatpur

CHITWAN: Patients in the Bharatpur Corona Special (temporary) Hospital are to be shifted to the Bharatpur Hospital as the corona facility needs to be repaired.

The Bharatpur Hospital has been taking the responsibility of the management of corona facility since April 13. The facility was established by the Bharatpur Metropolis.

According to the Bharatpur Hospital Development Committee’s Chair Dr Bhojraj Adhikari , COVID-19 patients are being moved in at Bharatpur Hospital’s Orthopedic and Surgery Department. Now the corona treatment center needs maintenance and adequate sanitation.

Orthopedic wards patients have been shifted to spinal and surgical ones to medical wards, Bharatpur Hospital’s chief medical superintendent Dr Shreeram Tiwari said.

Two wards and cabins under the Department have the capacity of accommodating 65 people.

The Hospital has readied a ten-bed ICU for COVID-19 patients. Further space will be created in case of the rise of patients.

Of the nine patients presently in the Bharatpur Hospital, two are being discharged today and of 22 in the Corona Hospital, four are getting discharged today itself.
