12 gamblers land in police net in Pokhara



POKHARA: Kaski police has arrested 12 gamblers including 5 women from Pokhara Metropolitan City-10, Buddhamarga on Saturday.

According to Kaski Police, the gamblers were playing cards in the room of Anjana Gurung, a tenant at Krishna Bahadur Gurung’s house at Buddhamarga when the police nabbed them.

DSP Suwash Hamal, the spokesperson of District Police Office Kaski informed that the police seized Rs 329,855 in cash from the gambling den.

The arrested include Rajesh Gurung, Padam Bahadur Gurung, Nabin Gautam, Thakur Prasad Gurung, Umesh Chhetri, Ram Bahadur Gurung, Nabin Gurung, Santu Maya Gurung, Prem Kumari Gurung, Mina Pun, Sunita Pun and Anjana Gurung.

DSP informed that the police are investigating the case after takinig the gamblers udner control.
