GULMI: Local levels in Gulmi have expressed concern over the failure to receive PCR reports for Coronavirus on time as well as necessary health and medical supplies from the State government.

Furthermore, they said that they have run out of PCR and RDT kits as well.

Sharing their concerns with visiting State-5 Social Development Minister Surdarshan Baral on Friday, they expressed fear over the likelihood of spread of Coronavirus due to delay in receiving the reports of the swab samples.

Minister Baral visited quarantine and isolation centres in Satyawati, Kaligandaki and Chandra Kot rural municipalities. In response, he said that the State government will ensure that the local levels do not face any problem including financial constraints.

He also suggested local authorities to mobilize local resources, and ensure social distancing and other preventive measures in the quarantine centres, while remaining alert of the problems facing the occupants.

On the occasion, Chief District Officer Bharat Kumar Sharma apprised Minister Baral of the state of quarantine, their management and Coronavirus prevention and control measures being adopted in the district.
