DCM of Biplav outfit Bajracharya arrested



KATHMANDU: Police arrested District Committee Member (DCM) of outlawed Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav outfit) Shyam Bajracharya on Friday night.

Bajracharya was arrested with a pistol and three shock bombs in Lalitpur, said SSP Tek Rai, Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur raided his rented room based at Ikhachhen in Nagbahal and arrested him.

A huge blast was heard at around 9:30 pm at Banglamukhi in Lalitpur. The explosion took place following Bajracharya’s arrest.
