Coronavirus positive youth in Butwal discharged after recovery

BUTWAL: A youth infected with coronavirus has been discharged from the hospital after recovery on Tuesday.

The 25-year old youth from Kotahimai Rural Municipality of Rupandehi district was discharged after he tested negative in the third round of tests, according to medical superintendent Dr Rajendra Khanal from Lumbini State Hospital.

He was admitted to the hospital after he was found positive two weeks back. Medical superintendent Dr Khanal said, “The youth tested negative twice, so he was discharged from the hospital.

However, he has been advised to stay in home quarantine for 12 days.” The youth, who was in India for job, had returned Nepal using the clandestine route on April 17.

He was sent to quarantine after the local administration was informed about his return. He tested for the coronavirus along with 30 others staying in the quarantine.

He was admitted in the hospital with a positive result. The youth was fond of dance and music. He used to entertain himself with dance in the hospital isolation too.
