NRNA concerned over ‘encroachment’ of Nepal’s land

KATHMANDU: The Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has expressed its serious concern over the construction of a link road by encroaching Nepal’s territory.

The Association has demanded settling the border dispute through diplomatic and political dialogue.

The Association asserted that the territories in question belong to Nepal as per the historical documents, including the Sugauli Treaty of 1816.

The NRNA president Kumar Panta said every Nepali citizen would stand as a shield for the protection of Nepal’s territory and the non-resident Nepalis spread across the globe would extend their solidarity.

The Association has also called on the governments concerned to take concrete steps for an amicable solution to this border-related topic through political and diplomatic dialogue.
