Coronavirus kills 60 Nepalis including 49 ex-Gurkhas in UK



KATHMANDU: The number of Nepali people killed by Coronavius pandemic in the United Kingdom has reached 60.

Nepali Embassy in London on Monday confirmed that 60 people of Nepali origin have died so far.

“A total of 60 Nepali people have died from Coronavirus pandemic in the UK,” said Sharad Raj Aran, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Nepali Embassy in the UK.

The number of former Gurkha armies is the highest among those killed from the novel virus.

According to the Embassy, 49 among those killed are former Gurkha armies and their family members.

Among those killed are 50 men and 10 are women.
