Bagmati State govt announces vacancies for 166 medics

HETAUDA: The Bagmati State government is set to appoint 166 medical workforce including doctors, specialists, nurses and other health workers in different 36 posts.

The State Ministry of Social Development have already initiated the process towards that end.

The appointments will be made on a contract-basis for hospitals and health institutions under the subordination of the State government.

The Ministry announced vacancies for three orthopedic surgeons, three gynecologists, five consultant anesthesiologists, one consultant dermatologist, four consultant general physicians, four consultant pediatricians, two consultant pathologists, five consultant radiologists, one consultant micro biologist, five consultant psychiatrists, five consultant surgeons, two for education health administration, two for public health administration and one for nursing administration.

The appointments will be of ninth level. Similarly, under the eighth level, it will be appointing 17 medical officers, two dentists and three Ayurved doctors.

The Ministry has demanded two nursing officer, two physiotherapists, and two pharmacy officers, six medical lab technologists, three junior nursing officers, 10 public health officers, and one biomedical officer for seventh-level appointments.

A dental hygienist, anesthetic assistant, pharmacy assistant, biomedical technician, medical recorder supervisor, assistant dietitian , staff nurse, health assistant lab technician will be appointed in the fifth level and an auxiliary nurse midwife, auxiliary health worker and a lab assistant in the fifth level.
