Fully-filled cooking gas cylinders available from today

KATHMANDU: Distribution of fully-filled Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders has started from Sunday.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) stated that LPG companies have started selling fully-filed gas cylinders weighing 14.2 kilograms from today.

Chairperson of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association Gokul Bhandari said that gas depots have been fully-filled after the demand for the cooking gas cylinders declined due to lockdown.

Bhandari added that gas bullets have been left unloaded after the gas stores of all the companies’ cylinders remain occupied.

He shared 59 gas industries across the country have a total gas storage capacity of around 10,000 metric tons.

The NOC had directed selling of cooking gas weighing 7.1 kg to the consumers after a shortage.
