West Bengal lockdown extended till April 30



KOLKOTA: India’s West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said colleges and schools in the state will be closed till June 10 on account of an extended lockdown for novel coronavirus till April 30.

The state government has decided to impose a total lockdown in West Bengal.

The state government had on Friday stated it identified 9-10 hotspots in the state, including one each in Howrah and Kolkata.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that West Bengal is going to stand with the center government and implement the lockdown extension till April 30 to combat for the health of the country.

The colleges and schools in the state were earlier supposed to be closed until March 31 but was extended when the 21-day nationwide lockdown came in place.
