Thapa, Rana, Lohani to formally assume roles of RPP chairs today



KATHMANDU: Three heavyweights of the newly unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are formally assuming the roles of chairpersons amidst a ceremony on Thursday.

Leaders Kamal Thapa, Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani will take charge as chairpersons of the party today, RPP leader Mohan Shrestha told Khabarhub.

With the merger between RPP and RPP (Unified) on Wednesday, the party’s office will now remain at Chabahil. Previously the office of the party was at Dhumbarahi.

Parties of the Panchayat-era politicians, they have unified on the agenda of the Hindu state. The RPP has also been advocating for a ceremonial monarchy.

Thapa, Rana and Lohani will be leading the newly-unified party RPP as chairmen as per the agreement.
