Lamichhane sets new record by becoming highest wicket taker



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has set a new record in the tri-series match played against America under the ICC WC Cricket League 2 held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday.

Lamichhane has become the highest wicket-taker in the On Day International (ODI) for Nepal in a single inning.

Lamichhane grabbed six wickets of America including one maiden over giving away 16 runs in six overs. Earlier, Sompal Kami had set a record by taking five wickets in an ODI series match played against United Arab Emirates.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss America was bowled out for 35 runs in 12 overs. Lamichhane grabbed six wickets while Sushan Bhari claimed four wickets of America.
