BIRTAMOD: Attorney General (AG) Agni Prasad Kharel today urged all stakeholders concerned to ensure delivery of fact-based reports so that the possibility of impunity could be prevented.
Speaking at a program on ‘legal medicine and existing legal provisions’ with stakeholders concerned in Birtamod on Sunday, Attorney General Kharel said lack of fact-based report may cause a delay in the investigation into cases of serious nature, which might even increase the possibility of impunity.
He said that any report lacking an in-depth study on the case and proper forensic lab test will mislead the investigation process and promote impunity.
He advised doctors to properly go through proper test procedures and write the findings in a simple and easily understandable manner.
According to him, proper identifications in regard to rape, suicide case or murder would provide a ground for bringing perpetrator(s) to book.
AG Kharel claimed that the investigation into the rape and murder case relating to Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur got influenced by unnecessary interventions from political parties, social network users and the media.
