KATHMANDU: Gold has become dearer by Rs 23,700 per tola (11.664 grams) in the domestic market in the past 30 months.

The precious yellow metal was priced Rs 52,800 per tola on July 10, 2017. Gold priced registered an all-time high of Rs 76,500 per tola on Wednesday.

The price dropped by Rs 1,900 in two days. But, traders say the price will continue to increase in the coming days.

The bullion price has gone high in the international market due to the risks of a possible war between the USA and Iran.

Gold price dropped by USD 20 per ounce on Thursday. The price, however, increased by over USD 10 per ounce the next day. So, the price of the precious yellow metal is likely to increase in the domestic market as trading opens on Sunday.
