Over 200,000 PCR tests conducted in Province 1 so far



BIRATNAGAR: Over 200,000 PCR tests have been done so far in Province.

A total of 28,812 coronavirus cases have confirmed in tests, according to the Ministry of Social Development.

According to the Ministry, a total of 200,178 people, including 138,359 men and 61,819 women, have undergone PCR tests till Saturday.

According to Dr. Rabindra Niraula, Coordinator of the Surveillance, Data Collection and Monitoring Committee of the Ministry, the highest number of PCR tests of 63,926 people have been conducted at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.

Similarly, Province Public Health Laboratory, Biratnagar has conducted 48, 744 tests, Koshi Hospital Biratnagar 41,900, Nobel Teaching Hospital 18,730, Mechi Hospital 10,958, Kankai PCR Laboratory 6,983, Birat Teaching Hospital 4,146, Neuro Hospital 2,832 and PCR tests of 1,959 people have been done in other laboratories.

In the last 24 hours, 58 people have been infected in the province. So far, the number of those who have recovered has reached 23,582.
