Two arrested with one kg gold-like metal in Sindhupalchowk



KATHMANDU: Two persons have been arrested in Sindhupalchowk along with one kg gold-like-metal.

Police have arrested 19-year-old Umesh Tamang and 26-year-old Arjun Bahadur Tamang living in Barhabise Municipality-2.

According to DSP Prakash Sapkota of the District Police Office, police have received information that illegal trade is taking place on the way to Jamune from Sunkoshi Village Municipality-7.

A team from the District Police Office and Area Police Office Barhabise made the arrest on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, police had arrested Umesh Tamang. He was found carrying a kilo of gold-like-metal. Later, it was disclosed that the metal was bras.

Arjun, who was absconding, was arrested by the police from Lisankhupakhar Village Municipality-6, Lamidanda.

Police have also seized his motorcycle (Pradesh 3-02-001 Pa 7424).

Police have launched a further investigation into them.
