Bagmati Cleanup Campaign continues even amidst pandemic

KATHMANDU: Despite the pandemic coronavirus infection, the Bagmati River Cleanup Campaign continued on Saturday as well. The mega campaign was held in its 383rd week and the garbage from Guheshowri area was managed.

Around 60 campaigners and activists joined the campaign by maintaining physical distance, the campaigners said.
Likewise, those failing to attend the cleanup works on the riverbanks continued the campaign through sanitation activities, activist Govinda Kafle said.

Former Chief Secretary and Ambassador Leela Mani Paudyal, high-powered Bagmati Civilization Integration Development Committee’s project Nabaraj Pyakaurel and other activists took part in the cleanup campaign on Saturday.
