Gandaki Province records 45 more COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 45 additional persons have been infected with COVID-19 in Gandaki Province.

A test conducted at the Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara on Saturday morning confirmed coronavirus infection in 45 more people in Gandaki province.

According to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention  Program of Gandaki Province, 34 among those infected are from Nawalparasi East, 10 from Kaski and one from Gorkha.

Sharma said that all the infected were confirmed through contact tracing.

He informed that preparations are being made to take all the infected people to the isolation centers of  their respective districts.

With this, the number of coronavirus infection cases in Gandaki has reached 2,865.
