Octogenarian from Syangja succumbs to COVID-19 in Pokhara



POKHARA: An 85-year-old man has died from coronavirus at Paschimanchal Community Hospital in Pokhara of Kaski district on Saturday morning.

The octogenarian who had been admitted to the hospital on September 9 succumbed to the disease at 6:32 am today, said Dr Arjun Acharya, the director of the Hospital.

Originally from Putalibazaar municipality-1, Syangja, the elderly had tested positive for coronavirus three days ago and was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences alone has reached 10.
