Chitwan reports 87 additional COVID-19 cases



CHITWAN: As many as eighty-seven new cases have been confirmed in Chitwan district.

According to Dr Nitu Adhikari, the chief of the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital, the new cases were confirmed during tests at the laboratory on Friday night. Out of 533 swab tests, 87 reports came out to be positive.

All the new cases are from Chitwan district. According to Adhikari, 23 women and 50 men are from Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Similarly, two women are from Ratnagar municipality and two men and two women are from Khairahani municipality.

Likewise, eight people including six men and two women have been infected with the coronavirus in Kalika municipality, the hospital said.
