Lockdown to be enforced in Butwal from Thursday midnight

BUTWAL: In a bid to curb further spread of coronavirus, local authorities have enforced lockdown orders in Butwal Sub-metropolis from Thursday midnight.

A meeting of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Kul Prasad KC, security chiefs and Rupandehi Chief District Officer decided to re-enforce a 9-day lockdown in Butwal.

Authorities have decided to impose the lockdown until August 21 midnight.

All public vehicles except those used in emergency will be restricted from entering Butwal during this period.

Likewise, the authorities have also urged the public to avoid unnecessary gatherings and follow health safety protocol.
