China to raise issues surrounding TikTok, WeChat in trade talks with US

NEW DELHI: Negotiators from the United States and China are set to discuss the implementation of the phase one trade deal, with China likely to bring up issues surrounding WeChat and TikTok, according to Bloomberg News.

According to the report, agricultural purchases and the dollar-yuan exchange rate will also figure out in the virtual meeting that is likely to take place as early as this week.

It may be noted that US President Donald Trump has recently unveiled bans on US transactions with the China-based owners of WeChat and TikTok.
