Sindhupalchowk’s Bahrabise sealed, over 500 asked to stay in quarantine



SINDHUPALCHOWK: Authorities have sealed off Bahrabise Municipality of Sindhupalchowk district after Nepali Congress leader Mohan Bahadur Basnet’s father, who passed away five days back, tested positive for coronavirus.

As many as 500 people, who attended his funeral, have been asked to stay at homes.

Eighty-four-old Basnet, who died at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center was cremated at the banks of Sunkoshi river in Bahrabise.

Local administration has sealed Bahrabise Bazar along with prohibitory orders.

Local authorities said Basnet’s family and people who attended the cremation will be tested.
