Former Mayor of Janakpur dies of COVID-19 at Mediciti

KATHMANDU: A septuagenarian has died of coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment at Bhaisepati-based Nepal Mediciti Hospital.

According to Dr. Khageshwor Gelal, the Chief of District Health Office, Lalitpur, the man was admitted to Nepal Medicity Hospital on July 20 after he showed like symptoms of pneumonia, diarrhea, and respiratory hazards.

The man was found diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 22.

The deceased was the former Mayor of Janakpur.

According to Patan Hospital sources, a woman of 38 undergoing coronavirus treatment at Patan Hospital has also died at 1 am today taking the coronavirus death tally to 86 in the country.
