Policemen suspended for taking bribe



SINDHULI: Five police personnel stationed at the District Police Office Sindhuli were suspended for their alleged involvement in taking bribes from service seekers.

A special police team deputed from Bagmati State Police Office took the cops under control recently while the latter were receiving bribes from service seekers.

According to Information Coordination Officer of the State Police Office Roshan Thapa, six cops including five of district police office Sinidhuli and one of district police office Kavre have been suspended.

Thapa said the police personnel were caught red-handed while taking bribes from vehicle drivers on different pretexts.

All six police personnel have been suspended from their jobs.
