Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 84 after octogenarian dies in Saptari

KATHMANDU: One more person has died from coronavirus in Saptari district. With this, the number of coronavirus deaths in Nepal has reached 84.

An 80-year-old man of Dakneshwori municipality-8 died on Tuesday, said District Health Office, Saptari.

He had been suffering from fever for the last four days.  He was confirmed infected after his swab sample test result came out positive on Tuesday night.

The octogenarian died wile being rushed to isolation of the hospital after he was confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus, according to the District Health Office, Saptari.

He had been suffering from cardiac arrest, thyroid, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Earlier, a 45-year-old man of Rupani rural municipality and 72-year-old male had died from COVID-19 in the district.

With this the number of people to have died from COVID-19 has reached three in Saptari district and 84 in Nepal.
