Flood alerts issued for Province 1, 2



KATHMANDU: It is currently raining heavily in different parts of the country on Sunday morning.

According to Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, currently downpour has been witnessed in few places of Province 1 and 2.

Stating that it is raining incessantly in Jhapa, Ilam, Morang and Sunsari, the Department has warned the communities living in the riparian areas to adopt high vigilance.

The Flood Forecasting Section has also forecast heavy to moderate rains in Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Udaipur, Saptari, Siraha, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Makwanpur and surrounding areas since last night.

People living in riparian areas of Viring, Ninda, Kankai, Mawa-Ratuwa , Chisang Khola, Budhikhola, Sunsari Khola, Mauli, Triyuga, Khado, Balan, Khutti Churiakhola, Mauli and Bakaiya rivers have asked to be to adopt high vigilance.
