Oli defies Dahal’s proposal to constitute all-party mechanism

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and one of the Party Chairmen of the ruling Nepal Communist Party(NCP) KP Oli has defied another Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s proposal to initiate an all-party mechanism to facilitate the tasks to be done during the pandemic.

PM Oli has refused the proposal saying no mechanism besides the government is necessary at the moment.

Speaking to all the Chief Ministers via a video conference, Oli made it clear to all that no other mechanism besides the government is needed at the moment.

According to PM’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa, PM Oli made it clear that no other authority giving direction in every 15 days is required as the government itself is working with full authority.

Earlier, in his interview on Thursday, Chairman Dahal had spoken for the all-party mechanism as an authority to handle the challenges created by the pandemic.
