Woman dies when truck hits bicycle



KOHALPUR: A woman died when a truck — Ra 1 Kha 2188 — hit a bicycle she was riding near Piparichowk in Kohalpur municipality-8 in Banke district today.

The deceased has been identified as Rampati Tharu, 45, of Kohalpur-9.

She died on the way to Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, police said, adding that the tipper driver and the tipper have been taken under control.

Investigations were underway, police said.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s family and locals obstructed Kohalpur-Nepalgunj road demanding action against the driver and compensation for the deceased’s family.
