Nepal to send airbus to evacuate Nepalis from China on Feb 15



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to evacuate Nepali students from Wuhan City of China on February 15.

A cabinet meeting on Monday took a decision to this effect. Meanwhile, the government has directed all the concerned bodies including Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to make necessary preparations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the China government through the Chinese Embassy in Nepal that it wants to evacuate the Nepalis on February 15.

Similarly, the Foreign Ministry also has directed the Nepali Embassy in Beijing to make preparations to this effect.

According to the Ministry, a wide-body airbus of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is being sent to China to evacuate the Nepali students from Wuhan City.

The 264-seater airbus 330-200 series will fly to coronavirus-hit China city to rescue the Nepalis.
