Evacuate our loved ones from China pronto: Parents



KATHMANDU: The parents of the Nepali students in Wuhan City of China have urged the Nepal government to evacuate their sons and daughters at the earliest.

Speaking at an interaction organized in Kathmandu on Monday, the parents of the students demanded with the government to airlift their loved ones from coronavirus-hit China to Nepal without further delay.

Gardian Upesh Bahadur Singh said all the Nepali students in China safe so far and if delayed, they might be infected with the novel virus, urging the government to evacuate them at the earliest.

Another parent Gita Bhattarai has urged the government to immediately fix the date for evacuation of the Nepali students.

As many as 180 Nepali students from Wuhan City of Hubei province have already submitted applications at the Nepali Embassy in Beijing seeking evacuation.

The coronavirus,which was first detected in Wuhan City on December 31, 2019, has already spread to 22 provinces of China and 23 countries in the world.

The death toll from coronavirus has reached 1,013 while over 42,500 people have been infected with the novel virus as of Tuesday.
