COVID-19: Province 1 records 77 new cases, 10 deaths



BIRATNAGAR: A total of 77 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Province 1 in the last 24 hours.

A total 27 cases have been recorded in Morang, 22 in Jhapa, 14 in Sunsari, three in Sankhuwasabha, two in Dhankuta, on each in Ilam, Okhaldhunga and Khotang and five out of the province, according to the Ministry of Social Development.

As many as 86 people have been discharged on Friday, taking total recoveries to 23,537.

Meanwhile, 10 people including six men in Jhapa succumbed to the pandemic.

Similarly, one woman and two men died in Dhankuta and one man in Sankhuwasabha died of the pandemic, according to the Ministry of Social Development.
