Head Coach of Nepali national football team Kalin resigns



KATHMANDU: Johan Kalin, Head Coach of the national football team, has resigned from his post.

He tendered his resignation with effect from October 17.

A meeting of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has approved Kalin’s resignation, ANFA spokesman Kiran Rai said.

Balgopal Maharjan has been appointed the pro-tem Officiating Head Coach.

Kalin from Sweden was appointed the Head Coach of the Nepali football team on March 1, 2019.

The national team played 11 games during his term. Kalin had returned to Sweden on March 24 after the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

He did not come back to Nepal after that. ANFA said Kalin tendered his resignation from Sweden.
