Coronavirus insurance: 17,000 plus claims with complete documents



KATHMANDU: At a time when the insurers are making complaints about not getting insurance amount under the coronavirus Insurance coverage scheme, the Beema Samiti has facilitated the process as per the government directive.

In a detail released on Thursday, the Samiti said that the documents of 17,235 claims were completed until Wednesday. Likewise, 4,152 documents have been sent to the Department of Health Services for verification.

So far, the Ministry of Health and Population verified 2,493 documents of insurers. Prior to this, Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel had issued directions twice upon hearing complaints on the coronavirus Insurance scheme.
