Province 1 sees 368 new COVID-19 cases, 441 discharged

BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 witnessed 368 cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, out of 1128 new PCR tests carried out in the province in last 24 hours, 368 swabs tested positive.

The Ministry informed that the province saw 148 coronavirus cases in Morang, 98 in Sunsari, 57 in Jhapa, 20 in Paanchthar, 10 in Udayapur, seven in Sankhuwasabha and four each in Taplejung and Ilam, three in Bhojpur and one each in Solukhumbu, Khotang and Dhankuta of late.

Likewise, 14 swabs collected from the people outside the province also tested coronavirus positive in last 24 hours.

With this, the province coronavirus case tally has reached 22,881.

Similarly, as many as 441 coronavirus positive patients were discharged after recovery on Wednesday in the province.

A total of 15,756 people have been discharged from various hospitals and isolation centers of this province so far.

The province has reported 264 COVID-19 related deaths till now.
