COVID-19 death toll exceeds 100 in Province-1



BIRATNAGAR: The COVID-19 related death toll has crossed one hundred until Sunday evening.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, the death toll has reached 102 till today. This includes all coronavirus-related deaths in various hospitals and home isolation.

According to Dr. Saroj Vishal at the Ministry, the deaths include 87 people with permanent address in Province 1 and 15 people from outside the province.

The COVID-19 mortality in the province is found high among the males. Out of 102 death cases, 74 are males and 28 are females.

Dr. Vishal informed that there had been 45 death tolls in Morang, 29 in Sunsari, 10 in Jhapa and one each in Taplejung, Dhankuta and Udayapur districts.
