KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged people to be extremely careful if they get symptoms of common cold, which are similar to the coronavirus.

Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry said that the symptoms of common cold and Covid-19 infection are similar to those associated with climate change.

“The weather has changed. The winter is getting colder. The elderly and the children suffer from common cold and pneumonia living in the mountains, hills and lowlands in winter,” said Gautam.

He said that those who have the common cold are at risk of infection.

Spokesperson Gautam further stated that there is a risk of high infection rate if health safety standards are not followed.
