Building of Nepal Rastra Bank.
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided not to distribute new notes for Dashain this year.
NRB has stated that it was not possible to distribute new notes due to the high risk of the coronavirus. The central bank has not yet issued a formal notice regarding that end.
However, this has already been discussed at the Board of Directors meeting held last week.
A source said that the notice on not distributing new notes would be made public on Monday, media reports said.
